• USA Hockey Adult Rules will be instituted, with few exceptions.
• All players must be USA Hockey registered and submit number or form to the League Director prior to first week.
• No checking, change on the fly, and slap shots allowed.
• Blue line icing - The farthest blue line will be used for calling icing.
• There will be a 10 minute pregame warm-up.
• We will play three 24 minute running clock periods.
• If the score is within one goal in the final three minutes, we will proceed with a stop clock. (losing team will then assume responsibility of stopping/starting clock)
• If the score tied at end of game, 3 player shootout, home team shoots first, if still tied after 3 player shootout, sudden death (first goal wins)
• Penalties will be three minutes starting with the drop of the puck on ensuing faceoff.
• Fighting/Game Misconduct -- there is a zero tolerance with fighting or penalties resulting in a Game Misconduct. No refunds will be allowed for game suspensions: -- 1st Fight/Game Misconduct- one game suspension -- 2nd Fight/Game Misconduct- suspension from the league for the rest of the session
• Substitute Players/Refunds -- No substitute players will be allowed to play for a team unless circumstances agreed upon by the League Director. Those circumstances would be a session ending injury, an unplanned job days/hours change or relocation, or if agreed upon with the League Director. The substitute player would then pay a prorated rate for the remaining games and the exiting player would receive a refund of that same amount minus Pay Pal service charges if payment was made with Pay Pal.
• Substitute Goalies -- goalies will need to find a replacement goalie or notify League Director that a substitute goalie is needed for a game.
• Five minors will exclude a player from further participation in that game.
• Major penalties that carry game misconducts will be subject to a suspension and treated the same as a Fighting major.
• Match penalties will result in a immediate suspension from the league for the rest of the session
• Player shortages -- If one team is missing two or more players more then the other team, the team with the least amount of players will trade a player(s) of even strength to even out the teams. Both captains will decide and agree on player trades.
• Each team will have a captain for on-ice and pre-game responsibilities. The captain's responsibilties are: -- Insure he/she has enough players present for the game, if not, the opposing team will give an equal strength player(s) to other team as decided by the captains -- Maintain control of players during game and discuss penalties with officials -- Insure players are maintaining normal shifts (shifts should average no more then 1.5 to 2 minutes)
