The league consists of players of adult levels of play from B through C. Our goal is to first and foremost HAVE FUN, play competitive hockey, and be budget friendly by maintaining low costs. We can do this by keeping playing costs down to a minimum to cover rink, referee, website, and Pay Pal costs with ZERO profit to the WAHL. Note: Ice costs have increased affective September 1st.
Refreshments provided by league the last week of each session as well as periodically throughout the session. A lot of us tailgate after the games! The Arctic Zone will also open the upstairs bar after the first game completes upon request.
General Information for Fall and Winter 2011/2012 Session: • 4 teams and 25 game schedule (session cost will be split with second hallf session cost balance due of $260 on Week 14, December 11, 2011) • First games start Sunday September 11, 2011 for 25 weeks through April 1, 2012 • ALL games will be played Sunday evenings at the Westfield Arctic Zone, 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm • B through C level player participation welcome
Rules and Regulations • All players must be USA Hockey registered and submitted to the league director prior to first week • USA Hockey Rules will apply to game play (see Rules page) • 4 teams with 14-15 player rosters with talent evenly divided • Games are 1/ 1/4 hours ice time, three 22 minute running clock periods, 5 minute warm up • NO checking, NO fighting, blue line icing, change on the fly, and slap shots ARE allowed
Payment Information -- Player Fee: $535 (plus a refundable $15 jersey deposit for new players) with $275 (or $290) due by first game for the first half of the session • $100.00 Deposit required to hold spot (Call League Director for more information or if you have any questions) • Full payment for the first half of the session will be due the first game unless you have made prior arrangements with the League Director to arrange a payment plan (PayPal is available for both debit and credit as well as a payment plan if necessary) • Full payment $260 for the second half of the session will be due on December 11th • Goalies play FREE • ALL profits from each session will go towards refreshments at Christmas party the last game day in December and on the last game of the session April 1st during single elimination tournament
